📚 Introducing Nested Knowledge Segments
HyperComply’s Knowledge Segments are designed to help teams organize and surface the most relevant content for different questionnaire scenarios. With our latest update, you can now create nested Knowledge Segments—unlocking a deeper, more flexible way to structure your knowledge base.
🔍 What Are Nested Knowledge Segments?
Nested Knowledge Segments let you define multi-level segment hierarchies, so you can drill down from broad categories to very specific content. For example:
Industry → Product Line → Deal Size
Department → Compliance Tier
Privacy Setting → NDA Type
There’s no limit to the number of segment levels you can create, and you can choose whether each level is required or optional based on your workflow needs.
✨ Key Benefits
Smarter Content Matching
During questionnaire responses, HyperComply will suggest answers based on the most relevant nested segment values.
Tailored Filtering
Easily narrow knowledge base searches and questionnaire content suggestions by applying multiple levels of segments.
Customizable Structure
Use nested segments to reflect your real-world team structures, product families, or customer tiers—without being locked into a flat hierarchy.
🧭 Common Use Cases
Healthcare > Enterprise > NDA Required
Government > SMB > Less than $50k
Product One > Product Config A > North America
🛠 How to Use Nested Knowledge Segments
Create a New Segment
Add a primary segment (e.g., Industry) in your knowledge base settings.
Add Nested Segment Values
Within any segment, define additional layers (e.g., Industry → Product Line).
Use typeahead to quickly select or create values during tagging.
Apply Segments During Workflows
Tag individual questions or answers with nested segments.
Only relevant nested values will display when applicable.
Filter knowledge base searches and RFP answers by segment path.
💡 Tips
You can choose to require a selection at any level—useful for enforcing consistent content tagging.
Use nested segments to model internal org structures, regulatory tiers, or sales motions.
